To bring out the best of Costa Rica Tarrazu, we locally roast our beans in small batches, ensuring peak freshness and preserving their natural flavor profile. Our precise roasting process brings out the citrusy brightness, smooth sweetness, and nutty complexity that make this coffee truly special.
Sourced from the Historic and Renowned Coope Tarrazu
Grown at altitudes of 1200-1800 meters above sea level, Tarrazu is one of Costa Rica’s most celebrated coffee regions, known for its bright acidity and complex flavors. Coffee has been grown here since the late 1700s, and Tarrazu quickly became a key region for quality coffee production.
The beans come from Coope Tarrazu, a cooperative founded in 1960, supporting over 3,000 small-scale farmers. Around 85% of the producers work on small farms of 4 hectares (10 acres) or less, where they carefully cultivate their coffee using sustainable methods. The cooperative operates Costa Rica's largest wet mill and focuses on improving both the quality of coffee and the livelihoods of farmers.
Tarrazu coffee is processed using the fully washed method, which enhances its clean, bright cup and contributes to the region's signature flavor profile.
