Panama Boquete Floreal

Panama's coffee became popular with European immigrants in the 19th century, but it was not until the last 20 years that it gained widespread recognition in the country. Primarily produced by smallholders from two indigenous groups, coffee is also grown on estates owned by immigrants or their descendants.

Cupping Notes: "A great well balanced cup of coffee.  Low acidity, floral notes with plenty of sweetness balanced with a very smooth malty chocolate tone. Medium bodied, smooth, rich and very clean."

Boquete is located within the Chiriqui region to the west, near the border of Costa Rica. The lot is hand picked from Catuai, Caturra and Typica trees grown in mineral-rich volcanic soil.  Due to the high altitude it earns an additional SHB (Strictly Hard Bean) classification.

Note: The 12oz & 1lb sizes comes in a resealable kraft stand up pouch (as seen pictured) while all other sizes come in a brown kraft bag with reclosable tin tie.
