Built to Last
Moccamaster coffee brewers are built to last a lifetime using high-quality, sustainable components.
An optimal pulse-drip method allows for the perfect coffee bloom and saturation time, extracting coffee to maximize complexity, flavor, and aroma.

An automatic drip-stop brew-basket stops the flow of coffee if the carafe is pulled away.
Coffee is held on a unique hot-plate which is engineered to ensure an even taste from the first cup to the last drop.

FAQs
The Moccamaster is a “pour-over style” drip coffee maker because it recreates the same process automatically that a coffee lover would do manually, following the precise, scientific brewing standards defined by the European Coffee Brewing Center (ECBC) and Specialty Coffee Association (SCA).
When brewing with a Moccamaster, the grind size should be medium-coarse, like sea salt or rough sand. Most pre-ground coffee purchased in the supermarket is ground too finely for optimal performance on the Moccamaster.
Besides some changes in the design, the formula has remained the same since 1968. This means that we are still using sustainable and high quality materials that will last a long time. A Moccamaster coffee machine can last up to 20 years.
No. There is a water reservoir off to the left that sits on top of the copper heating element.
The flavor of brewed coffee is determined by how many solubles are extracted during the brewing process. This is measured by the Total Dissolved Solids (TDS) coffee to water ratio. Moccamaster brewers produce the perfect TDS yield of 18% to 22%, as required by the European Coffee Brewing Centre, meeting and exceeding the Gold Cup Standard.
